Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Herefordshire, is set in seven acres of beautiful grounds, providing a high standard of nursing care with specially selected and trained staff, excellent en-suite accommodation, carefully prepared food with fresh ingredients and an extensive range of services, most of which are included within standard fees.
Lynhales has recently been awarded 'Investors in People' status and is working towards ISO 9001-2000 recognition.
The Manor House, now refurbished, was built circa 1588 and extended in the Georgian Period. Extensive alterations were made by the Victorian Industrialist, 'Wildflower Robinson', so named for his love of wildflowers - over 100 species of which are reputed to be found in the grounds. Examples of ornate decorative carving around the house reflect his interest in nature. The Nursing Home comprises two floors of single and shared rooms, the majority of which have en-suite facilities, providing accommodation for 47 patients. The 'Goodwin Wing' provides accommodation to the highest of standards, with en-suite bath or shower rooms, refrigerators, wall-lights and magnificent views over the Herefordshire countryside.
The nursing care at Lynhales Hall Nursing Home is the highest standard, with qualified nurses on duty day and night. Staff are selected for their nursing experience, kindness and dedication. The aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment, yet preserving dignity and independence.
All residents receive individual care Staff are trained to NVQ level by on-srte assessors. Weekly physiotherapy, chiropody, hairdressing and aromatherapy sessions are available.
Care is provided for all types of residents, both long and short term, including day care and convalescing, medical and surgical patients.
Meg Fallen, the home's manager said, "Many people would like top care for elderly relatives at home, but that is not always possible or practical, but they can receive the care they deserve here at Lynhales Nursing Home. All residents, the elderly, those suffering with dementia and the physically handicapped, of all ages, receive around the clock nursing care if required. Home-cooked food, tranquil surroundings and excellent accommodation combine to make Lynhales Hall a real home from home."
