Presteigne and Norton Community Support

The Community Transport project recruits volunteers who use their own cars to take qualifying locals to hospital and GP appointments.
Drivers are paid expenses and the client pays a mileage fee for a door to door service.
Some essential social journeys are also provided.
Drivers are CRB checked, First Aid trained and meet annually at a driver's social evening.

All bookings are taken through the community office.

The Newsletter is published bi-monthly, space is free for any local interest or voluntary group and is widely distributed within Presteigne and the surrounding villages. The directory of local voluntary groups is a useful source of information on the locality including its community halls. Both publications are Free
