Christopher works from his bindery behind No. 14 and is passionate about books and has been all his life. As a qualified teacher and a trained bookbinder with over twenty five years experience, Christopher's exacting standards have earned him a reputation as a diligent and highly skilled conservation bookbinder and tutor.
Each commission starts with viewing the book, discussing the client's requirements, assessing the work involved and establishing whether to conserve or repair the book. A written survey, a comprehensive list of work recommendations and materials, the estimated timescale and no obligation quotation is then drawn up and two copies sent to the client. On acceptance, the quotation is signed and returned to Christopher. All materials are archival and reversible.

Christopher's second string is paper marbling. Colourful fluid patterned papers are printed in the traditional way. A wide range of stationery books are produced covered in Christopher's marbles; portfolios,
Photograph Albums, artist's books, journals, address/visitors books, etc.
His travelling workshop enables courses to be run virtually anywhere in the country.

Watch out for Studio open days, usually on a Saturday.
